As much as we'd love to see our videos go viral, it is a rare few that do because of universal appeal and entertainment value.  Any business would see benefits from a viral video, except when the entertainment value is what is remembered and the business experiences a disconnect with viewers.  This happens a lot when attention to your target market is not catered to.  So keep in mind that the quality of the  engagement with your viewers matters more.  This is easily measured by the proportion of viewers who stay to watch and the ratio of like to dislikes.  How many comments are generated and how positive are the comments left behind.  And the biggest question of all is the percentage of viewers who respond to a 'cal to action' in the video and text below.

Ten reasons are listed why a video fails to deliver, some like poorly chosen tags should have had a lot more thought put into it.  Other problems like poor video production and boring to watch are real killers along with failing to cater to the right audience.  With 30 years video production experience at A1 Studios AZ, we take great care to get it right the first time.

YouTube Unveils New Comment Management Page

YouTube Unveils New Comment Management Page | Media Services | Scoop.it
YouTube just revamped its commenting system again, still linking to but not totally removing it from Google+, despite receiving major criticism when it switched the system over to its social arm. Here's a look at what's new.

Tying YouTube together with Google+ was a great idea, but like many things Google does, it discovers pretty quick what created all the rage against it, and then makes a few tweaks to answer some of the concerns.....but does not back down and does what it intended to do by making their changes a bit more bearable.

On the surface, I think having more control over moderating comments and setting of filters for better comment management.

There still is comment ranking taking place based on the relative importance of the person leaving the comments own G+ ranking.  People in your Circles and known influencers will have top billing, that is, get placed at the top of the heap.

We will have to see how inline replies and expanding replies works or not.

The YouTube Commenting system changes are very new, looking up videos about the new changes, no one has done one or figured out the ramifications of what Google has done.  One thing for certain, you usually get rid of one problem only to get a new headache, such as comments moderating getting to be a pain.
