Interesting.  Not sure if I can agree with a blanket best time on Facebook Pages.  In general, yes, after 8 p.m. things will start slowing down but 8 am. seems late for the start as well.

IBM Study: If You Don't Have a Social CEO, You're Going to be Less Competitive - Forbes | Social Media | Scoop.it
The list of the world’s CEOs regularly includes celebrities, billionaires, big egos, risk takers, and failures. What it does not include are social media experts; but that’s about to change.

The change is coming quickly!

theWebChef's curator insight, April 29, 2013 10:52 AM

Beyond the CEO, the whole "C-Suite" should be social to interpret and intercept ideas and to innovate for the future success of the business.

Ted Fickes's curator insight, May 20, 2013 2:45 PM

I think a CEO - or any c-suite person - can really screw up the "be social" thing but being good at online networks is probably, by now, a basic expectation for most organizations and businesses. More valuable than a good golf game, perhaps.

Social Signals Work for SEO

Social Signals Work for SEO | Social Media | Scoop.it

As I continue to try and educate my clients in the elusive world of SEO marketing I find myself increasingly coming across the subject of social signals.

'Simply put – a social signal is a link from someone’s social networking profile to your web page. If you were to click on the ‘like’ button next to this very blog post then you, my friend, have given me a ‘social signal’.

For those who want to see social media having a directi influence on SEO. You can even follow instructions to conduct your own experiment!

Gail Monique Mallo's comment, May 21, 2013 3:03 AM
This is so true. I don't think people out of this industry fully embrace the importance of social signals nor do they understand what social signal is. I guess that's what social media managers are here for!
Daniel Imbellino's comment, May 24, 2013 6:48 AM
They're what drives my websites today. Search engines are leaving the prospect of figuring which content is good or bad up to the users themselves. When you +1 something you are effectively "recommending" that content to all your followers on G+, in which those in your circles could see the content you +1'd in search results.

How to Show Your Clients the Value of Facebook in 7 Easy Steps

How to Show Your Clients the Value of Facebook in 7 Easy Steps | Social Media | Scoop.it

Have you ever had clients who weren't yet sold onFacebook? Most people know Facebook could potentially help them grow their businesses, but getting a page set up and managed properly can still be a daunting task for many folks.

First off, you might need to nudge your clients toward acting. When researching your pitch, find examples of similar businesses that have vibrant Facebook presences. Let the clients know what they're missing out on. You can also get their attention by showing them the data on Facebook's exponential user growth and the mind-blowing predictions of continued growth. Here you can even focus on the clients' particular markets. Finally, show them some examples of pages you've helped develop in order to establish your own credibility.

Sigrid, in my opinion, the best plan is to sell yourself on social media. Trust is the most important in this world and if your company name is not Nike or something like that, your name is definitely the best plan to create confidence.

With the new age of kids coming up social media is going to be a huge aspect companies are going to to need to take a handle. No social media presences is pretty much death of a company. People enjoy being able to read the next persons view on a company, so I think social media presence is going to be a huge must if companies want to survive. As well as SEO .. that is the foundation but social media a must !
