With 2.7 million users and counting, Pinterest is the third largest social media network behind Facebook and Twitter. But what exactly makes it unique? Pinterest is a social bookmarking tool used to “pin” images into categorized groups or “boards”. It is similar to an interactive, virtual scrapbook.
