What a GREAT idea to get people interested in a certain dog or cat by making them a video to post online or on the T.V.  When walking through an animal shelter people are looking quick and might miss a certain animal.  By making a video of the animal it gives people an opportunity to see the animals habits or characteristics rather than just a photo that you can't see very well.

social media is a great way to get the word out!

This was the first time I have seen a video like this.  It was a very powerful message behind it.  I think that everyone needs to see this and it should be broadcasted through the news.  All puppy store animals are from puppy mills and we need to stop puppy mills.  BUY from animal shelters, you're helping an unwanted animal.

Hope and Healing for Waffle the Chihuahua

Hope and Healing for Waffle the Chihuahua | Social Media and Animal Shelters | Scoop.it
When Waffle first arrived, a lifetime of neglect had left her anxious, timid, and afraid. Though some may have seen her as a lost cause, we knew that she was perfect for the ASPCA’s Behavioral Rehabilitation Center. After a few months of treatment, she has turned into a sweet-as-syrup pup who’s ready to begin the next chapter of her life.

I LOVE seeing before and after pictures like this of animals in need.  This makes me feel so great just to know that someone helped this animal.  Recently my sister and her fiance rescued this boxer puppy near our lake house.  He was very skinny and very hungry.  They now have had him for 2 months now and he is doing very well.  I can't imagine why and how people could just abandon their animals!
