When all is said and done, businesses generally end up with the employees they deserve, and if your employees are helpless in your eyes, then there is a far chance that you may have caused them to be so inclined. If you need your employees to have a can do attitude, and who are prepared to tackle any problem or overcome any challenge, then you need to create the environment in which such employees thrive. This good article, suggests that the leader of a workplace needs to make a difference, and a supportive environment needs to be created, if learned helplessness is to be overcome.
