I'm so in love with tools that help visualize what you do. This is a great list. I can't wait to try the ones I'm not familiar with.

I think "design" and "programming" are rushing at each other at light speed. Web pages will be made from branching if,then, else algorithms soon. Can't just drip paint on a canvas, so design's function will be making those algorithms make visual sense.

Info graphics don't really include digital photography, generally, but they are a fascinating way of displaying understanding, telling a story, and implying solutions. Delete the scoop?

Time Spent on Instagram (infographic).
From : columnfivemedia.com - January 23, 11:42 PM "Instagram has reinvigorated many artistic endeavors: social photo-sharing, old-timey photographic styling, and foodie dining excitement, to name a few. But none more so than the art of time-wasting... With their noses buried in their smartphones, you can bet most people are up to one thing—Instagramming. Last fall, information from Comscore even reported that users were spending nearly 1.5 times the amount of time on Instagram as they were on Twitter. And just today, Instagram announced it has reached 90 million total users, proving the app isn’t disappearing from peoples’ fingertips any time soon. If you’re wondering how on earth so much time is spent on Instagram, this Visual Storytelling pie chart breaks it down for you". Time Spent on Instagram (infographic) via @MYDstudio http://sco.lt/... Use Tweetping to watch your Tweets spread globally and transform a visual map of earth shadows to an illustration of bright connectivity in a matter of minutes ...

Infographic: Watch Tweets Appear Worldwide in Real-Time.
From : www.fastcodesign.com - January 31, 8:29 PM "By Franck Ernewein, Tweetping is a map that shows where everyone in the whole world is tweeting from in real time. Much like Poptip’s treatment of Twitter, you’re not really meant to follow it all. Country-by-country tickers do track the total tweets, words, and characters sent since you signed on, but hashtags and @-mentions flash for milliseconds, constantly replaced by a stream of data that can’t be paused for a moment, lest the system fall perpetually behind. Meanwhile, the geolocations of each tweet make their way to a world map as a glowing dot. As the tweets pile up, so do the dots, meaning the world transforms from prehistoric shadows to blindingly bright connectivity in a matter of minutes". The Challenge of Getting Visibility on Facebook [infographic].
From : denisewakeman.com - January 29, 9:19 PM "Many face the challenge of getting visibility on Facebook in the newsfeed, especially for business pages. And, maybe that’s why I’m hearing more and more people talking about moving over to Google+. It’s estimated that only about 10% of the people who follow your Facebook page, actually see your content. So you’re left to spend an unreal amount of time posting pictures, videos, polls and links in the hope that your followers will see and engage with your content. Or, you can advertise your content with promoted posts and offers in an attempt to get attention in the newsfeed. If you’re committed to marketing your business on Facebook (and with over 1 billion users, who isn’t?), the infographic below may help you choose how to engage for the best return on your investment of time". Despite a difficult start, Sciarra and Silbermann refused to accept defeat—they continued to improve Pinterest, and the rest is history...
