Two month ago, I interviewed two passionate about social entrepreneurship who decided to start a project that would allow them to become real changemakers.
Jonas Guyot and Matthieu Dardaillon study management in the prestigious business school ESCP Europe. Both of them have already participated in humanitarian project:
During the summer 2010, Matthieu did an internship in the Center for Social Innovation (CSI) of the NGO Gawad Kalinga (Philippines). During this time he became aware of the value and potential of social entrepreneurship.
Matthieu has been involved in several charitable projects, especially as the founder and President of the Student Star Trekk ESCP Europe organizing an eco-raid in the Vercors.
After having done these experiences, they decided to start the project “Destination Changemakers”.
Their mission is to cross the world in order to help three social entrepreneurs who work on innovative concept to respond to a social need: problem of access to drinking water, health, electricity, education ... During three month, they will assist these entrepreneurs and their social enterprise and involve their energy, motivation and skills to establish a business plan and a business model to increase their social impact and helping change the scale by attracting new financing.
Modest and realistic I was surprised by the entrepreneurial spirit of these two students. You can visit their blog (French) to learn more about their project or contact them for English speakers. They are still looking for funding to start their project in september 2012. http://destinationchangemakersfr.wordpress.com/contacts/
