5 Steps For Optimizing Your LinkedIn Company Page

5 Steps For Optimizing Your LinkedIn Company Page | Social Buzz | Scoop.it

Search And Social Meets Content And Influence

On April 3, the New York Times reported that LinkedIn is one of many competitors vying for a piece of Google’s search traffic. With over 5.7 billion professionally oriented searches performed on the site last year, LinkedIn has made continued efforts to improve the search experience, adding new features like auto-complete, suggested searches, automated alerts and a smarter query intent algorithm.

Content marketing on LinkedIn puts you and your business in front of the people you want to see it. Just like with Google, there is a renewed focus on content at LinkedIn as the company strives to compete with other social networks.A great example of this is LinkedIn’s recent acquisition and integration of SlideShare, a service used for uploading and sharing presentations.

Add to this the launch of new products like LinkedIn Today, LinkedIn Influencers (where a hand-picked crew of 200 celebrity professionals present exclusive content), and Sponsored Updates (allowing brands to promote whitepapers and branded content), and marketers have a powerful platform that combines search and social and connects content with influencers.

How to Measure Content Marketing Success | Infographic

How to Measure Content Marketing Success | Infographic | Social Buzz | Scoop.it

This infographic recommends three broad areas to evaluate when assessing content marketing success. With more than 90% of companies now doing some form of content marketing, the logical question is: how do you know if you’re doing it well?

In terms of “what” to measure, this infographic from Brandpoint recommends three broad areas to assess:

• Awareness (e.g., search engine rank for target keywords,  social metrics such as likes and followers);• Consideration (longer average visit duration, social shares); and• Conversion (increased conversion rate, growth in newsletter subscriptions).

In terms of “how” to measure success, CMOs utilizing a sophisticated web presence optimization framework for maximizing content marketing results will likely embrace tools for measuring competitive multi-channel marketing metrics—not just “are we making progress?” but also “how are we doing compared to our competitors?”

How to Integrate Social Media With Your SEO Campaign

How to Integrate Social Media With Your SEO Campaign | Social Buzz | Scoop.it

Like many things in life, certain SEO tactics will fade into oblivion as Google Penguinmatures. This has left many people who used to practice the art of SEO wondering where to go.

The good news is that while certain SEO tactics may be under the gun and likely to fail in months to come (if they haven't already), other tactics are destined to succeed, impervious to algorithmic changes.

Many people believe that Search Marketing Integration, or SMI, is one of these. Some people have even gone as far as to say publicly that SMI will be required to rank on the first page of Google in the future.

SEO and social networks are platforms for promoting our Brands. We build online awareness by creating a good dominating content that fit hoe people are searching for our company

Wu Meng's comment, August 4, 2013 10:47 PM
I thinks that you are right about all things about branding, whom to follow, authorship and all such points. But I think all these point is all about off page activity or what we call it link building work. But till the time your on page and navigation is not perfect, its no use to do any such good link building strategy. I had seen some e commence site whose navigation is such worst that, we need to find where to shop and what to do. At the end visitor leave the website i.e. a high bounce rate. At the end it is surely effect on our total SEO work.

In short, What i want to say that link building plan, strategy is all good things. But we firstly should have to more focus on navigation and other on page things of website.

Google Ranking Factors: A Discreetly Cleaner, More Social Web & An Ever Dominating Search Engine | Social Buzz | Scoop.it

Recently, Search Metrics released a white paper on their findings for Google’s SEO Ranking Factors in 2013. It displays the correlation between particular metrics such as ‘Facebook Likes’ and ‘Backlinks’ and the rank ability of a page within Google.

Also available in the 70 page document are comparisons with 2012’s data, where that data is available. Not to many marketers surprise, a lot has changed. According to Search Metrics, it’s time to get social! In this article I graze upon some of the most important areas as well as my thoughts on what Google is playing it – for better and worse.

The data from search metrics is based on research and is not 100% factual. Nor are my opinions factual, but rather opinions and statements based on what I believe to be happening.

5 Reasons Pinterest’s Search Engine Is Better Than Google’s | Social Buzz | Scoop.it

Pinterest is a lifestyle searching tool for millions of people.

People go on there with excited eyes to look for amazing recipes to cook for dinner that weekend, find ways to dress to the tens for a special date, or find creative educational materials to teach children with.

Millions of users turn to Pinterest to enhance their lifestyle. And they are doing so by using the search function on Pinterest. Here’s a fun fact.

Did you know that Google has a search engine just for recipes? It’s been around for years, but almost nobody I know uses it.

Instead, most people I know automatically go to Pinterest if they want to find recipes to try out.

That’s not the only reason Pinterest is better than Google.

Take A Look At What Happens Every Single Minute On The Internet | Social Buzz | Scoop.it
Early last year we learned that one hour of YouTube is uploaded every second. It was a bracing reminder of just how many people are spending their time online simultaneously.

Created by rewards site Qmee, the infographic "Online In 60 Seconds" is a pie chart that shows off the sheer amount of online activity that takes place every single minute. The amount of YouTube videos uploaded has already increased from January 2012's 60 hours per minute to 72. Additionally, over 1.8 million things are liked on Facebook, and 278 thousand bon mots tweeted. Not depicted in the chart: the amount of work that is going undone while all of these items are being viewed.

Facebook Graph Search Is Headed to Your Account

Facebook Graph Search Is Headed to Your Account | Social Buzz | Scoop.it

Over the next few weeks, expect your Facebook account to be updated with Graph Search.

Facebook is about to undergo a major change. The company announced July 8 that it's readying to roll out the Graph Search function that it introduced in January and offered in beta form to "tens of millions" of users, who have already helped to improve it.

Graph Search will roll out to everyone who uses "U.S. English" over the next few weeks, said Facebook.

Unlike traditional search tools, Graph Search fetches everything that the user has personally touched or shared or "Liked." These can be links, images, documents or friends. One can search, for example, "friends in my city who like Theophilus London," or, "friends in Florida who voted for Mitt Romney," and Facebook, which has been saving every user's every iota of data since the moment they signed up for its service, will deliver the answers.

If you search "photos of New York City," you'll see photos your friends took and shared, as well as Public photos. The same search will yield different results for different users, given they have different friends.
