Only 25% of respondents felt gains from change management initiatives were sustained over the long term.
One thing I noted while reading this article is that it refers to managing change. Granted parts of change have to be managed to keep the company afloat while changes are being made.
As a change veteran myself, I look for leadership first and management second. Both are required.
I'm sure that John Kotter will voice an opinion on this study. After all, his opinions are well documented in thousands of books, articles and speeches.
