Bob Burg, the author of the Go-Giver (http://tinyurl.com/cuwkdoc) is an inspiration. This book actually made me feel like God was talking to me through the story. I was going through an extremely difficult time and the universal lesson of giving first, before expecting to receive, was the most influential reminder I could have gotten at that time. Since then, my life has improved consistently. Not only do I look to GIVE first, I am also OPEN to receiving! This is a great article that showcases Bob's philosophy and his ongoing work. Thank you Bob Burg!!! Delete the scoop?

From the article: "less than 12 percent of computer science degrees earned in 2010-11 were awarded to women.
There's a lot of programs to encourage more women to enter the field from the Ladycoders seminars to the Anita Borg Institute (ABI), which today announced the winners of its 2013 Women of Vision Awards.
For the women who do choose a tech career, the sky's the limit. There's plenty of opportunity to become a power player, at big companies and hot startups alike." Delete the scoop?

In 1996, 51% of US employees were reported to be members of team. By 2006, it had increased to 84%. As our world becomes more complex, the need for teams will continue to grow. Understanding the characteristics of effective teams gives you a target to shoot for and better prepares you to support your team’s development.

(From the article): If you are a chronic multitasker, there is good news: You are never too old (or too young) to be proactive about brain health and performance. Recent studies provide evidence that adopting healthier thinking habits and improved cognitive strategies can rejuvenate your mind, reversing its clock by decades.
When you train your brain to think more strategically and efficiently, measurable improvements register on the biological level. Our own studies show that after only six hours of training, subjects can experience upsurges in neuron-nourishing blood flow, the genesis of new brain cells, improved communication between regions of the brain and increased white matter growth. Take a good look at the people you work with, and you’ll find lots of Good Starters—individuals who want to succeed and have promising ideas for how to make that happen. They begin each new pursuit with enthusiasm or, at the very least, a commitment to getting the job done.
