Liverpool´s Daniel Sturridge is the latest frontman to pull out of the game, citing a thigh injury. He joins Wayne Rooney and Andy Carroll on the injury list, while Danny Welbeck is suspended. Rooney´s gashed head, a result of a collision with Manchester United team mate Phil Jones, has been the toast of the tabloids in recent days.

Suarez, who still has four games left of his ten-match end of season ban for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic, had been supposedly linked with a £40 million move to Real Madrid, but it now looks as if new boss Carlo Anceloti may be somewhat cool on signing a player with as volatile a history as Suarez.
