That's right: 1 Billion people have a Google+ account which is 2x Twitter's user base and only 15% less than Facebook's. Perhaps more importantly, the +1 button is pressed more than 5 million times a day and 340 million of its users are active.

The United States Postal Service on Wednesday announced proposed price changes, including an increase in the price of a First Class mail single-piece letter from 46 cents to 49 cents.

Can't we all just get along? The USPS versus Congress

The USPS will be raising first class postage rates by 3 cents beginning January 2014.  This action is coming largely to the inability of Congress and USPS being able to strike a bargain.  The chilling affects of this increase on direct mailers, marketers and printers is still to be seen.  I can tell you I have already responded to several client concerns about how this will affect the budgets, possible cuts and direct mail viability.  How this will affect presort mail and the EDDM programs is not known at this time.  When I know, you will know.  Stay tuned! #usps # direct mail #fairfaxprinting

This is an emerging interface thats hot (sorry Pairs Hilton) for two major reasons.  1.  Because Flat UI is minimalistic with less graphic treatments page load times will decrease, great for SEO and reducing bounce rates.  2.  Flat UI naturally displays much better on mobile and small screen devices.  There is much more up and down scrolling and much less "hunting and pecking".  This is huge as the world is taken over by smart devices and phones. #jimintihar #flatui #fairfaxprinting
