If amazon are taking mobile this seriously, do you think your website should be mobile ready too? Amazon obviously recognize its not so much about the device itself, but the mobile as a consumption device. Yes its all about the content. Apps, information, connectivity and accessibility. This has some parallels with webdesign. You can get over designed sites, lots of fancy animations and clutter. For me, is it easy to use on a mobile or tablet? Its not so much how pretty it is, more so how valuable the content is to your audience.
