New Research: Here are the latest findings from Technorati’s 2013 Digital Influence Report that show “consumers are turning to blogs when looking to make a purchase.”


"According to the survey, 86% of influencers blog. Of these, 88% blog for themselves. Moreover, a majority of influencers (59%) don’t produce much content outside of blogs.


We’ve seen that trust is the currency of influence and that consumers are looking for “trusted digital friends” to give them advice on what to buy and where to go. That’s why bloggers who offer such advice are influential—because consumers trust their guidance."

It seems like blogs have been around forever and it may be that is why many small businesses pass them by when thinking about their marketing strategy. Well as this informative article points out blogs have influence that can't be denied.


A small business or even an individual entrepreneur need not be intimidated by the thought of spending hours everyday blogging. Today lots of options exist for creating and maintaining a blog, these include curation, guest bloggers, outsourcing, videos and other avenues a small business can travel when building a blog.


Twitter recently unveiled Vine.co, a 6 second video sharing site that promises to add new and exciting ways to promote your business. A business can insert a vine into a blog making the post more engaging.So jump into blogging, the old is new again.
