Smartstart Program to provide mentors for small business owners
Airdrie City View
Starting your own business can be an exciting and lucrative venture, but there are plenty of risks involved.
David Krynauw's insight:

This is a great initiative by the city council to help small business owners. Clearly their intention is to encourage more new businesses in their city and help them to succeed. Here in Australia our state government does something similar with their Small Biz Connect program. See http://www.smallbusiness.nsw.gov.au/smallbiz-connect

They have 2 buses that are mobile offices that visit different areas in the state to provide on-board mentoring to SME's. Its a great initiative providing a greats service.

Its good to see that people are starting to talk about the value of mentors. We provide an excellent service to small and medium sized businesses and it makes a difference. Its like having a heavyweight employee and paying for a part-timer!
