ActSeed is for Entrepreneurs | Know Your Audience: Research Is a Key to Valuable Publicity | Marketing and Sales | Scoop.it
GreatBusinessContent's insight:

I just picked this story off from a Linkedin group called "Small Business Articles to Grow By".

This is a great way to build relationships with reporters.  Why is this important?  Well, lets see..... to make you an expert in your field?  Yeah, that's it, an expert in your field.

Who cares about that?  You should.  If you become known as an expert in let's say the dry cleaning industry you become more than a "Dry Cleaner", you become the spokesperson for dry cleaning.

Oh hell, are you even listening?  Give it a try.

I personally use most of these.  The article talks about having a book with you at all times to read when waiting for something to happen.  I used to put all articles and trade publications in a file and kept that in my car.  I would read that when waiting for my appointments to show up.  It was nice to get them off my desk, get them read, then get rid of them all together!

First, try to switch from Marketing Mix 4Ps to Marketing Mix 4Cs: it’s basically switching from a producer perspective to that of a client.

4Cs was proposed in the early 1990s by Robert Lauterborn (preceded by the work of - among others - Professor Koichi Shimizu). It’s a new way of looking at 4Ps, exactly from a client’s perspective.
