That's a must read post, it'll learn you how you will become a Twitter power user! [note Martin Gysler]
CNNFortune reported 100 million Twitter users log in at least once a month. Half of those, 50 million, log in every day. About 55% check in with mobile devices, while about 40% just check in without actually tweeting.
Those numbers are huge for anyone who’s marketing online. But that’s not all.
Thirty-four percent of marketers who use Twitter have generated leads from its use…with 20% of those closing deals.
But how do you take advantage of this growing audience of Twitter consumers? You have to become a power user. So here are 100 proven tips to help you do just that.
And to make it easier to follow along, I’ve broken them up into 10 sections that each contain 10 tips.

Retweets, you have heard about them, you know what they are but you aren’t gettin’ them.
You may be new to Twitter and simply don’t know what the heck you are doing, how to get a retweet or why the retweets even matter. This post won’t teach you what Twitter is but provides good tips for tweetable content which you need regardless if you know what you’re doing or not (joking).
Or you may be a Twitter and social media veteran who just wants to boost your ego, increase your Klout score or simply show off for Grandpa this weekend how popular you are on the social waves?... Via Martin Gysler Delete the scoop?

Social media is not a campaign… it’s a channel. It’s a means to an end, not an end in itself. That means your social media networks should be part of a larger marketing plan.
With that being said, you still need a set of goals to guide your individual social media efforts. Like most marketing plans, social media channels need to go through the following five goals in order to produce the kind of results that are truly profitable.
Step #1: Identify warm prospects Step #2: Establish a conversation with your prospect Step #3: Gain rapport with your prospect Step #4: Develop a social media relationship Just because you are talking to people doesn’t mean you have Step #5: Track the lifetime value of a relationship Via Martin Gysler Delete the scoop?

Social media is great for making new friends, but it also attracts the creeps.
Things are about to get personal.
Social media has made it easier than ever to connect: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and other services have greatly amplified everyone’s personal brand message. This is fun, and beneficial inasmuch as we can get a sense of someone’s professionalism, character, and personality before we ever meet them in person. Via Martin Gysler

Twitter has quickly become a favorite part of content marketing strategies employed by most businesses. The 140 character limit means that it doesn’t take much work, users have little inhibition about following quality profiles and it’s already optimized for mobile. Curating a quality Twitter feed lends itself to an answer for so many marketing questions that it would be hard to list them all here.
Still yet, lots of users have no idea how to make 140 characters count. What we end up with is Twitter feeds consisting primarily of links and quotes. Quotes are an obvious place to start when you want concise snippets of text that convey wisdom and evoke strong emotions. In fact, the most successful Twitter users are almost always inspirational, funny or educational in nature. However, followers don’t want to follow a copy of someone that’s already in their feed, and as an online influencer you don’t want to be pigeonholed.

The following interview is with Dave Gowel, who has been recognized as a “LinkedIn Jedi” by Inc.com and the Boston Globe, is the CEO of RockTech, and author of The Power in a Link: Open Doors, Close Deals and Change the Way you do Business Using LinkedIn (Wiley, December 2011). Gowel co-founded RockTech with Mark Rockefeller to build software tools that help corporations increase productivity through quicker adoption of underutilized technologies. The interview has been edited for clarity. A lot of people see LinkedIn as a recruiting or job hunting network. What are some of the other ways professionals can put LinkedIn to work, once they’ve landed that dream job?
I think one of the key ways to think about it is really a relationship filter, that when you put in all the relationships that you already have, it allows you to see the ones that you could have more easily, or get information about potential ones... Via Martin Gysler Delete the scoop?

I have noticed that when the topic of social network is raised, it usually turns to a discussion of Facebook. Granted it is the biggest player on the planet however it is not the only one.
Ok, at some point in the discussion it may get to Linkedin, Google Plus and Twitter (which by the way is a microblog not a network but it is so widely used it surfaces regardless of what topic is being discussed). The reality is, although these are the “Big Four”, there are so many to choose from and depending on “your fancy” or strategy you may want to develop a presence at other networks as a starting point.
Now that I have planted this seed in your thinking, where do you start? There are so many out there – really. So whatever your passion, go and find your network. If it doesn’t exist, hey create one! Via Martin Gysler Delete the scoop?

One of the things many people struggle with in social media are identity issues, and I am no different. Up until yesterday, my main Facebook entities included my personal profile and my fan page for Kikolani. While I love both of these, I found some problems with sharing links to posts I’ve done elsewhere. Specifically…
- Links I’ve posted to my personal profile lately haven’t gotten that much attention compared to plain status updates or photos.
