7 Ways to Find, Engage & Leverage Powerful Influencers

7 Ways to Find, Engage & Leverage Powerful Influencers | SM | Scoop.it

Jan Gordon: My commentary

This is one of the suggestions that was mentioned in tis article but I can't stress this enough, it should be #1

After you've discovered who the right influencers are, always look for ways you can sincerely contribute to them that is meaningful, then find ways to leverage the relationship and make it a win/win for both of you.

Intro:

"if you want to grow your business, you need to know who the influencers are in your field, learn from their expertise and build a productive professional relationship with them".

Why leverage influencers?:

"Influencers are hubs of information, they have many followers who respect their recommendations and opionions and being featured by them sends a powerful amount of targeted traffic your way - It's good old fashioned word of mouth recommendations on steriods"

Here are a few ways to discover influencers that I personally do myself:

**Twitter Lists - Twitter is a great untapped resource for finding influencers and keep track of what they are posting

**Groups and Forums - These are valuable sources of information.

**Podcasts and webinars - This is a great way to find key influencers - whether it's through interviews, presentations, information products of their own or curated information by others

Here are a few ways to build relationships that I've found very effective in finding influencers in my industry:

**Connect through the social media platforms they use

**Share the posts that are of value to your audience, retweet & quote their content, share, comment and like their Facebook posts

**Help promote what they are involved with, including charity causes, seminars, conferences, publiations and promotions

Looking for Content Curation Tools? Here's Where To Start: The Official Content Curation Tools Universe Map

Looking for Content Curation Tools? Here's Where To Start: The Official Content Curation Tools Universe Map | SM | Scoop.it

This is Robin Good's comprehensive curation tools map!   Robin has put together smaller select lists for beginners - http://www.mindmeister.com/134633604/best-news-curation-tools-for-independent-publishers-the-newsmaster-toolkit-by-robin-good-2012 and http://www.mindmeister.com/134760952/news-content-discovery-tools-2012-by-robin-good

But nonprofits and others always appreciate the comprehensive, well curated and classified list.  This is it!

---------------

Robin Good: Everytime I see a new post or article claiming to list the best content curation tools I know I am in for some disappointment.

Most of these lists just pick up names from other lists without even bothering to check, test or verify what these tools actually do, whether they are still available. Unfortunately the rush to put out "curated" list of tools and services has created more misinformation than useful lists.

But if you, like me, are on the lookout for new and effective tools to curate your own content or the one of your customers, I have created a comprehensive map of all the curation tools available online and I keep it fresh and updated almost on a daily basis.

The map presently lists over 250 content curation tools which you can navigate much more easily than it was possible on my earlier versions of this map.

On the right side of the map you will find all of the news and content curation tools available online today. On the left side, you can find bookmarking, link lists builders, clippers and lots of tools to operate with RSS feeds (which are still at the heart of a curator's job).

A Collection of 750+ Facebook Marketing Campaigns: Facebook Studio

A Collection of 750+ Facebook Marketing Campaigns: Facebook Studio | SM | Scoop.it

Robin Good: If you are looking for great examples of Facebook marketing at work, you may want to check the Facebook Studio, an official gallery/catalog of marketing campaigns using FB.

"...a place where creative agencies and marketers can deposit examples of great campaigns that leverages on the online social network to connect with audiences and have authentic conversations.

So far Facebook Studio has over 750 examples submitted and approved from around the world, and Facebook also holds the Facebook Studio Awards every year to recognize and laud the best work in the field.

Agencies can create an online profile on Facebook Studio that shows off their creative digital work, along with any of the awards accorded by Facebook.

These profiles go into a directory which is searchable and accessible, so you can preview the work.

Creatives who have worked on those projects or campaigns can be “tagged”, so people know who’s been involved in them. Creative individuals can also build their own profiles – which is separate from their regular Facebook profile (although they can be linked) – so that they can be tied to the work they’re involved in."
