On Friday, Inspired Selection went to the Skills Show at the NEC in Birmingham to be a part of the publishing stand hosted by the Publishers Association, amongst other representatives from HarperCollins, the IPG, Search Press, Circular FLO, and the Bookseller.
If the Association of Colleges’ annual conference is the staffroom, the Skills Show is the playground. A foot-throbbingly large playground where you can learn how to plaster a wall, work a bow and arrow or take your first steps in engineering to enhance human performance. I had a crack at all of them.
ABP UK has further shown its support and investment in the future of the meat industry, by donating almost half a tonne of meat to the butchery competition at this year’s The Skills Show. The show, which takes place on the 19-21 of November at the NEC in Birmingham, provides a great opportunity for young adults to gain hands on experience of a vast array of vocational skills and learn about the resulting & varied career paths.
