This journal entry continues to agree with Adler and Horney theories that childhood social tensions are crucial for personality formation, (Myers, 2005). This journal states that, "in response to rejection by their parents, children tend to feel more anxious and insecure, as well as more hostile and aggressive toward others." Adler continues by believing much of our behavior is directly connected to our childhood inferiority feelings, (Myers, 2005). When children are faced with stressful situations many times they come back to their caregivers seeking comfort,(Myers, 2005). Known as regression, Frued connected these actions to early developmental stages, (Myers, 2005). So the importance of the head of house taking interests and providing love and comfort is imperative to a child's later behavior. The stated facts in this journal seem to align with other reliable sources such as Freud, Horney, and Adler. The conclusion of 10,000 participants in 36 studies across the world have all come to the same results showing the importance of the father figure. Some cultures are now know for giving away the female newborns seeking a male son. The absence of the male and even female figures in these young adolescents lives could extremely affect their future behaviors. Myers, D. (2005). Consciousness and the Two-Track Mind. In Exploring
