The article has the Term IAD or Internet Addiction Disorder and compares our web or Facebook use to drug use (meth, crack or heroin). We get a release of dopamine every time we click on a Facebook notification. Every notification could me a social, sexual or professional opportunity so it become a compulsive addition to find out what it is. In 2000 Americans average attention span was twelve seconds, in 2012 it dropped to eight seconds, a goldfish’s attentions span is nine seconds.
