Baltic shipyard will produce four sets of shafts for Indian destroyers latest project 15B, which will be built at the shipyards Mumbai from 2018 to 2024, told “Interfax” a source in the Russian defense industry.

A source in the Russian defense industry said that the shafts are for four destroyers 15B project, which are being built for the Indian Navy at shipyards sudozavoda Mazagon Dock Limited (MDL) in Mumbai.

Interviewee noted that in drafting the destroyers involved engineers from Northern Design Bureau (St. Petersburg).

Earlier, India’s Defense Minister Arakaparambil Kurien Antony said that in January 2011, the National Defense Ministry has signed a contract with the shipyard MDL to build four new destroyers 15B project. Ships to be built in series in July, 2018, 2020, 2022 and 2024 years.

Destroyers Project 15B destroyers of the project are the development of type 15A “Delhi”. The ships are designed to perform functions in the flagship operational teams and escort carrier connections.

(Infodefensa.com) Madrid - The Spanish Society of Industrial Participation (SEPI) has said that there are "significant expectations" for Navantia to ensure the stability and future of Cadiz shipyards.

After the meeting in Madrid with the presidents of the SEPI and Navantia, Ramon Aguirre and Jose Manuel Revuelta , respectively, the PP president of Cadiz, Antonio Sanz , said that both the company and the company naval shipyards gaditanos "are an absolute priority" and expected news "within a reasonable period" that will ensure the stability and future of the factories Cadiz.
