The 9 "Be's" Of Personal Branding

The 9 "Be's" Of Personal Branding | Share Some Love Today | Scoop.it

Your Personal Branding Strategy

There is power behind personal branding, so practice these nine “Be’s”

#Be Likeable

Wouldn’t you just love it people were all warm and fuzzy about your brand like they are for a brand like Apple? Having great likeability can go a long way and help build new relationships that could lead to revenue and increased brand loyalty.

#Be Consistent

Are you being consistent in your business practices? You should be, and that includes your online presence. Post on your social networks on a more consistent basis, so your target audience will learn to expect fresh content from you regularly. This will also increase the chance of brand exposure to others.

#Be Passionate

Being passionate is a must. Having passion shows itself in your products or services, and gives a level of quality and satisfaction. Passion or lack thereof shows in everything you do.

#Be Different

Do not be different JUST to be different. Be different because you have a unique product or service you offer, or you are have unique qualities that shine. Find your niche, and make it a point to become well known in it. It is crowded out here, you have to differentiate yourself from the rest. Give people a reason to choose you over your competitor.

#Be Memorable

Make yourself memorable! You want to leave a lasting memory. What is the first thing you think of when you think of your favorite brand? In personal branding have this question in the back of your mind when you are creating your branding strategy.

#Be Interactive

Are you promoting interaction with your business? Use promotions and giveaways to get your audience to interact with your business and brand.

#Be Creative

Create interesting and fresh logos, art, and fonts to make you and your business pop.

#Be Engaged

Are you mixing and mingling with the people?  Are you engaging on social networks? Engagement now is more important than ever. People do not just want to be bombarded with product information. They want to know that you care about them. Show them by engaging with them.

#Be Personable

You are human right? Time and time again I see entrepreneurs hiding behind pictures and logos. People want to interact with a human, not a faceless entity.

Personal branding will help your business go a long way. Follow these 9 Be’s, and you are on your way to being a rock star.

One of the best feelings as a photographer is capturing a perfect reflection, such as a mountain reflected flawlessly in a lake, or catching the reflection of a duck's wings in the water as it takes flight.

The Geography of Sports Training

The Geography of Sports Training | Share Some Love Today | Scoop.it
Botswana sprinter Amantle Montsho trains in Senegal, thousands of miles from home, in hopes of capturing her country’s first Olympic medal.

While some countries routinely get dozens of medals at each Olympiad, other countries (like Botswana) have never received a medal.  World-class training facilities are not available everywhere, and youth participation is some sports is non-existant.  What are some other factors that contribute to this uneven global patterns of world-class athletics?

The people of these countries have no money to be able to get the train they need and also the country there from cant afford state of the art equipment for these athletes to train
Jordan Simon's comment, August 17, 2012 12:25 PM
I think it is great for Montsho to be able to leave her home and train for an olympic medal in a place very far from home. It turned out that she became the world champion with the help former training in Senegal. Without the training in Senegal she would not have been able to compete and later win.
Shane Hohman's comment, September 3, 2012 11:13 PM
It is a great accomplishment of Montsho to leave her country and win the gold in London. It is sad that some countries do not have the money to provide training for their athletes, but when she left and trained in Senegal that is what helped her and she needed that the most to win the gold metal because she would not have received the same training in Botswana.

The world's first underwater nightclub.

The world's first underwater nightclub. | Share Some Love Today | Scoop.it

Of all the places you might meet someone, underwater is probably the last place that springs to mind. It's already hard enough to see and hear in a nightclub, so why make it difficult to breathe as well?

The Thinkmodo team has been involved in creating a number of well-executed virals over recent times, and the team's latest is the world's first underwater nightclub. It was launched earlier this week.

Created as a viral for TechnoMarine Underwater watches, the whole thing was filmed at a military training facility with navy divers and the set was built 14 feet (4 m) underwater.

The breathing helmets used in the commercial/viral are fully functioning units from Sea Trek, and they are the real enabler for the entire thing - the Sea Trek helmet system is commercially available, so perhaps an underwater nightclub is not all that implausible

Ancient Light: Images from a Mayan Crystal Cave

Ancient Light: Images from a Mayan Crystal Cave | Share Some Love Today | Scoop.it

This photographer has done some interesting 'Light Paintings' with her pictures from Actun Tunichil Muknal.  She had an exhibit based upon ATM.

"This series of photos and paintings is inspired by the Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) cave system in Belize, Central America.  ATM is known for its miles of chambers believed by the Mayan to be the entry to the sacred underworld of Xibalba.  In ancient times only dancing torch flame brought this pitch black world to life where fifty foot stalactites and stalagmites inspired reverence and creativity.  Clay offering bowls, painted urns and full sacrificial skeletons are housed in crystalline limestone chambers to this day."

"Services like Scoop.it depend on a community of millions of hardworking experts who wonder what to do with the wealth of knowledge and wisdom they have accumulated in life and are happy to share it."

In this vibrant praise of Scoop.it, blogger Shred Pillai points out the changes we're seeing in the way we look for information. From basic search, we now look more and more for meaning and context from human experts.

And this is what Curation is all about.

As he concludes: "At the end of the day, Scoop.it, which is free, is the right answer for information seekers and providers as well as the experts who like to show off their expertise."

Mathematics Made Visible: The Extraordinary Art of M.C. Escher

Mathematics Made Visible: The Extraordinary Art of M.C. Escher | Share Some Love Today | Scoop.it

The eye and the intellect play off one another in surprising and beautiful ways in the art of M.C. Escher. Where the Renaissance masters used shading and perspective to create the illusion of three-dimensional depth on two dimensional surfaces, Escher turned those tricks in on themselves to create puzzles and paradoxes. He manipulated our faculties of perception not simply to please the senses, but to stimulate the mind.
