Don Johnston provides a number of short (1-3 minutes) video tutorials to help you quickly learn how to manage features of the app and get you going! Great for elementary thru secondary students with spelling and vocabulary challenges.

I love this app for managing photos and videos at school. CloudCam drops photos and videos immediately into a CloudCam folder in my Google Drive!

No more consuming tons of space on my iDevice with photos or videos.

I wish transferring other documents could be that easy and organized (anyone know any good tips or tricks for organizing in Google Dr?)!

And it is free!

 

....Plus we know all those possibilities with sharing videos and photos that exist with a Google Dr (share url links, create private YouTube videos and share them, send links to share with others for download, etc. endless?)

Too Long Didn't Read -  (TLDR) provides cognitive rescaling tools for students with cognitive or learning disabilities. The Chrome and Android app (free) provides a synopsis or summary of an article in four different options. A great option for students with disabilities and teachers needing to reduce the vocabulary and condense the contet of articles.

 

A great resource!

The Apps for Teachers include a wide variety of apps specifically targeted at educators. Having a list that assists teachers in deciding how to use iPads for education is helpful although in many cases it's hard to understand how they defined and delineated the list of apps.

Learning Targets:

The iPad user will demonstrate the ability to:

1. Understand the anatomy of an iPad

2. Manage and customize Settings

3. Use gestures and control buttons for navigating on the device

3. Use iOS multimedia apps, save images, create albums

4. Manage and organize apps (create folders, move, delete and close apps)

5. Search using Safari, set Bookmarks, add Reading lists, use tabs, copy images

6. Using Notes, text formatting, copy/paste

Note: setting up email accounts, iTunes accounts will be taken care of in iPad 102 on Day 2

Fast moving and fun it will be!
