The ad is directed toward females who will supposedly want to buy the jeans so they can be just as sexy as the female in the ad. Males who happen to chance a look at the ad will most likely double-take as their walking by or skimming through a magazine. That makes this ad most efficient for the company, right? It gets the job done by attracting a wide variety of viewers, therefore hopefully broadening their consumer range. What’s wrong with that, might you ask? It is a commercial… and you’re right. It is, so I guess it does its job.
