Why You Should Treat Laughter as a Metric

Why You Should Treat Laughter as a Metric | Serious Play | Scoop.it

It’s impossible to feel joy or pleasure when our attention is fractured. Anger, frustration, annoyance – sure. Those emotions rise to the surface easily. In fact, multitasking encourages them. But laughter? It’s nearly impossible.

Why is this important? Does it really matter whether we’re laughing more or less? What does this have to do with leadership?

Everything, it turns out.

Hey! Ben from eduCanon. Love all the great reactions! I wanted to follow up and let everyone know that I was a teacher and know the need to be upfront: eduCanon's current functionality will ALWAYS be free :) We're building out premium features, but that will never restrict you from your current uses/content! Also thought I'd throw out a little about what we've recently released:

1. You can now use videos from YouTube, Vimeo, and TeacherTube!

2. We have free response (open-ended) questions in our premium version, as well as gradebook export, and lesson search through the eduCanon database.

20 iPad Apps to Showcase Students Learning ~ Educational Technology and Mobile Learning | Serious Play | Scoop.it

There are several ways to enable students to showcase what they have learned. While some of these ways do not require technology, my emphasis today is on those handy digital apps that learners can easily install on their iPads and use to demonstrate the insights and knowledge they have garnered in class. Students can showcase their learning through video recordings, screencasts, sketches, drawings, posters, audio recordings... and many more.
