Scoot & Doodle - Get #Creative Together!

Scoot & Doodle - Get #Creative Together! | Serious Play | Scoop.it
Our Philosophy

We believe that coming together to tinker with ideas, draw, work on problems and create stories with others is a really fun and vital component of learning. When we get together with others in an open ended, creative environment, we explore new ideas, new ways of thinking and problem-solving, naturally.

That’s why we created Scoot & Doodle: online, collaborative studios where friends and classmates easily get creative together, face-to-face and in real-time.

Ariana Amorim's insight:

Can't wait to try it!

With Scoot & Doodle’s you can get together for creative jam sessions, face-to-face, anytime, anywhere and you can create with up to 9 of your friends at the same time.

The thought provoking challenges are also great fun.

What a wonderful way to help students with homework, allow students to collaboratively create something, or conduct an online short class with small groups! No writing necessary so no problem with Hebrew typing, but you can draw, write and discuss.

Visual Note-Taking

Visual Note-Taking | Serious Play | Scoop.it

"As should be the case, there is ongoing discussion among educators about the skills that should be taught to their learners. One such skill is note-taking. Note-taking is typically classified as a study skill and taught as it has been through the history of institutionalized education – the outline."

"The purpose of this post is to encourage educators of learners of all ages to their students how to take visual notes. By providing learners with the skills to do so, this adds choice for how they take notes and process information. What follows are some videos and articles that provide rationale and instructional tips for visual note taking."

Zentangle

Zentangle | Serious Play | Scoop.it

"What is a Zentangle? In a word, a doodle. A structured, contained doodle. The term 'Zentangle' was coined by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas when, one day, Maria described her experience, as she created her art, as "feeling timeless, free and engendering a sense of deep well-being". Rick recognised that she was in a meditative state and so Zentangles were born."

On this page, you will learn how to draw a Zentangle from scratch, what materials are required for Zentangles and also how to use the techniques imaginatively in your own work. Enjoy!

Sketchnotes are a visual form of note-taking that can include drawings, various lettering sizes and styles, color, icons, arrows, boxes and more — whatever works for you. I’d say that sketchnoting is officially a movement  (...). And the best part? You don’t have to be a creative genius to do it. It’s called Sketchnoting, not Art School.

Enter sketchnotes. They help make work and learning fun again.
