Easily Create Professional-Looking Forms and Surveys with Typeform

Robin Good's curator insight, May 20, 2013 3:25 AM

Typeform is a new web app which allows you to easily edit, create and publish professionally-looking interactive forms and surveys on any website, while guaranteeing full compatibility with all desktop and mobile devices.

If you want to "listen" to your fans, customers and readers, this is a great tool to make it all happen.

As a matter of fact, Typeforms work across all computing devices: from desktop PCs, to tablets and smartphones and can include all types of questions, from yes/no to multiple choice to free form answer. There is even a "Dropdown question type" which allows you to add as many options you want to this customizable drop down menu.

To create a new interactive questionnaire, input form or survey, you only need to drag and drop, your selected type of questions onto your empty form canvas.

Nonetheless all newly created forms have by default a professionally-looking design, it is also possible to customize their look by selecting specific colors, fonts, backgrounds or by choosing among several readily available design themes.

Other key features include the ability to embed any newly created form or survey onto any website or blog.

It is also possible to personalize typeforms by passing data into your typeforms and by appending variables to the URL. Great for greeting your users by their first name or passing hidden data along to your results.

Free to use.

Google launches a one-click button to save files on the Web to Google Drive

Google launches a one-click button to save files on the Web to Google Drive | SEO notizie dal web | Scoop.it

Google on Thursday announced the launch of a “Save to Drive” button for its Google Drive service. The feature is available now: you can implement it on your site as well as start saving files from sites that have already done so.

For Web developers, the button means adding just two lines of HTML to their site. For Google Drive users, all it takes is one click and the file in question is saved to their account.

Hi David, Keeeb is a good tool if you need to collect and organize web resources, images or video. It's better than Pinterest functionality-wise but it does not have its audience. So my advice is try it out and see if it does what you need to do.

SEO Basics: 8 Essentials When Optimizing Your Site

SEO Basics: 8 Essentials When Optimizing Your Site | SEO notizie dal web | Scoop.it

Your links, paid search, and social media acts as the icing, but your content, information architecture, content management system, and infrastructure act as the sugar and makes the cake.

Without it, your cake is tasteless, boring, and gets thrown in the trash.

How Social Signals Affect SEO

Do social signals really play a big role in SEO?  We know for certain that social media plays an essential role in increasing website traffic and creating awareness for your brand.

But can social signals also improve your rankings? Yes, they can.

Martin (Marty) Smith's curator insight, April 1, 2013 9:13 AM

Use Social Signals or Drown
that was the choice Google faced. They could fight against the social tide or use it. Then Navneet Panda stepped up with his new machine code algorithm and Google could use social signals to see just how clean or dirty our rooms really are/were.

Are social signals important to SEO? Absolutely. Is SEO still important to your ability to generate converting traffic? Absolutely.

Recently I wrote Storytelling Is The New SEO (on Slideshare) because one of the secret implications of social signals being used so extensively by search engines is we must create content that engages and is shared.

Not all content is up to that task, or, more accurately, our execution of some types of content such as heavily lawyer influenced terms is not up to the task of being shared.

My advice is to ONLY have content on your website someone will want to share.

November's focus for Soical Biz is IMAGES (following the focus on Pinterest in October). There are some really helpful free tools available to help any entrepreneur, image-challenged or not, make an impact at image hungry social sites e.g. Pinterest, Facebook and Google+. There's no doubt images draw attention and drive visibility and traffic.

Scrivere in italiano vs. scrivere in inglese

Scrivere in italiano vs. scrivere in inglese | SEO notizie dal web | Scoop.it

Here's an excellent visual poster illustrating the key differences between the type of SEO activities that were effectve back in the days before Google Panda and Google Penguin made their first appearances, and the ones that are appropriate and effective today.

Things have changed a lot in these last two years, and this visual diagram does a great job of reviewing and synthesizing what has really changed.

Whether you are new to web publishing or have a long established web presence, I think you will find lots of valuable information in here as well as many confirmations of things you thought but weren't sure of when it comes to SEO.

Up-to-date. Factual. Informative. Must-read. 8/10

The impact and importance of Social Sharing in SEO

The impact and importance of Social Sharing in SEO | SEO notizie dal web | Scoop.it

The past two years have seen some major changes in the world of search and search engine optimisation.

2011 saw search giant Google usher in a host of new features and products that made one thing clear - the future of search was social.

After launching its own social network Google +, it became apparent that Google was favouring social links and other social signals into their now personalised search plus your world results pages.

Results that stemmed from social networks such as Facebook and Twitter also now seem to rank more prominently than they did in the past - forcing SEOs to reconsider the importance and the value of social links in search today.

While social media is certainly not the only factor to keep in mind when it comes to SEO - it is becoming clear that search engines and people are placing an increasing amount of value on it and it would be wise for your company to take notice and do the same.
