The personal account information including emails and phone numbers of 6m Facebook users were exposed by a security bug, the social network admitted last night.
JVD's insight:

Facebook spend millions on trying to secure their servers etc, yet still get hacked.

 

Some business don't even take the smallest of precautions, like setting up firewalls properly, then blame evryone else but themselves when they are hacked. 

 

Hacking is fast becoming the biggest threat to industry and to personal users. Everyday we are now hearing about major corporations networks being compromised. When will they/we learn?

A different day another scare story. The annoying thing is, for me anyway, these viruses/malwares are about, yet until they strike home we fail to take precautions to ensure they cannot strike hom.

 

Think of them as an unwanted teen pregnancy, no one wanted to get pregnant, no one used protection to prevent the pregnancy, yet there you are paying for failing to take simple, cost effective, precautions
