Is it a critical tool for a criminal or is it an American's virtual home?

cell phones hold far too much information and also are such a piece of a person these days. they should not be considered as the same as other objects present at an arrest. warrants should be necessary to search someones phone. phones these days hold windows into images of life, notes, schedules, private conversations..etc. An arresting officer shouldn't have immediate access to that.

a simple statement made on a social media platform. its right though. typing something and sending it out to the world, hidden behind a screen, gives a lot of people the comfort and sense of security needed to make statements they wouldn't otherwise. This can result in both good and bad things. Maybe someone who is shy will finally open up about the great ideas they have in their head. But more often then not, it is a bully targeting people that they wouldn't have in person. hiding behind a screen is cowardice and social media is a platform that enables it.
