Republican Texas gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott this week said that a Tuesday event with Ted Nugent would go on, even after Democrats reminded him of the conservative rocker's admitted history of sexual relationships with underage girls.

The next time a teabagger or a right wing Republican tries to convince you they love the USA ask them why they still wave the Confederate Flag. The ultimate symbol of hate for the United States of America a U.S. Citizen can give.
Actually, the United States under the Obama dictatorship is not fascism, at least not in the way that the founder of fascism, Benito Mussolini, defined it.
In fact, Obama's dictatorship is far worse, it is a plutocratic imperialist police state that has spread its misery, death and destruction over a much broader swath of the planet than Mussolini ever dreamed of.
Mussolini's fascism relied on a command economy under the control of the state, unlike in the U.S. economy, which is mostly controled by a small ruling class through corporations.
In fact, while Mussolini's Fascist Party dictated what would be produced, how much and how much would be invested, all of those decisions in the United States are made by capitalists, not by a fascist party. Of course the exception is the U.S. military-industrial-complex, which is a mini-command economy under direct state control and management.
And of course Mussolini's Fascist Party formed a one-party state that was backed up by a large middle-class-based movement. In the United States, the ruling class has two parties--neither of which have mass support--upon which to rely and controls both of them with dirty money.
Most importantly, Mussolini's fascism relied on "Corporatism," a system of trade associations controled by the state to which all companies and unions were required to belong. It was through this system of "Corporatism" built on state-run trade associations that fascism transmitted its commands that made it a true command economy.
Of course "corporatism" in the United States has a much different meaning. Here, it means the total control of the state by the rich through corporations.
The most important difference between the U.S. plutocracy and the Italian fascist state is that the U.S. ruling class owns and controls a world-spanning empire that is constantly terrorized with the most powerful military in the history of the world. Something Mussolini dreamed of, but could never obtain with fascism. Such an empire requires U.S.-style, police-state plutocracy.
