The partnership between Facebook and social TV analytics specialist SecondSync, announced in late January, bore its first fruit in the form of white paper Watching with Friends, which generated its findings from an analysis of several television shows from September 2013 through January 2014 in the U.S., U.K., and Australia.

The recent partnership between Facebook and Second Sync has produced an interesting study about Facebook and social tv. One of the key figures it's surely the one about tv related interactions occurred while a tv show is airing. According to the research 60% of total interactions related to a tv show happen in real time and 80% of them originate from a mobile device. This figure shows that Facebook competes with Twitter in real time social tv interactions.


p.s it's quite strange that in the study there are no figures about images and video
