Neil Harbisson: I listen to color - YouTube

http://www.ted.com Artist Neil Harbisson was born completely color blind, but these days a device attached to his head turns color into audible frequencies. ...
Alexandra Planer's insight:

Neil Harbisson can't see the colors but only grey scale. In 2004, he is the first to 'wear' an 'eyeborg' (a cam pluged in a chip in his head). As a consequence, Harbisson was not allowed to renew his UK passport because his passport photo was rejected. Letters from his doctor, friends and his college were sent to the passport office to give him support, and then, the pasport was delivered.

Harbisson states that he became a cyborg when the union between his organism and cybernetics created a new sense: "It's not the union between the eyeborg and my head what converts me into a cyborg but the union between the software and my brain".
From Wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neil_Harbisson

I tried his android App : Eyeborg, which allow you to hear color when pointing the cam at a picture, a painting or what you want. Interesting it is! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.espillmedia.eyeborg
