We used this with a collaborative 9 English class. The differentiation was great! Some of the students needed the structure and some didn't...so it worked out great! Keep this type of writing coming, please!

This was wonderful - we did it a little different but the idea was the same. I asked my students to donate a dollar/part of their pocket money for this/ or do a special job at home (one kids rubbed her Mum's feet for half an hour for $2!) and as it was so well recieved our whole school particpated. WE then bought gifts and put them under the Kmart WIshing Tree. The kids raised more than $120 dollars which was a fantastic for our little school of less than $50 students.

Here's a great new game from Denise Boehm. In this game you place one card on each student's desk and then you have one kid stand at each desk with the response sheet. Then they answer the question on that card and stay put until you say, you guessed it, SCOOT! Then they move one seat over and answer the next question until you say (everybody now...) SCOOT! This game's perfect when kids are restless and need to move, but you need to teach!
