They say that politics is made up of strange bedfellows. So is the technology industry where Apple plays a leading role.
Apple competes against Samsung which sells chips and screens to Apple. The company’s newfound friend is Yahoo!, whose high powered search engine is run by Microsoft. If that’s not strange, then digest this. Apple’s next CEO is running a company that competes with Google and Microsoft.
Man... I would say Apple is in deep trouble and not because of Marissa Mayer either. I say this since it appears Microsoft has all their ducks in a row! With both Samsung and Microsoft having the upper hand, Apple is at their mercy! Good luck Marissa!
Google certainly likes to keep everyone on their toes! Regardless of the SEO side of things, it is still worth your while to link to affiliates and businesses that can add value to your business. At least this idea of building links just for the sake of building links can be put to rest. Amen Google!
The SEO world is abuzz following the release of Penguin 2.0, though there have been several updates to the algorithm since it launched in April 2012.

Let's face it, Google is the juggernaut of search engines. To oppose the forces Google's algorithms would be a kin to swimming against the current of a large fast flowing river! So... do yourself a favor and "go with the flow!" Google+ is on the rise!
How to align with, rather than battle against, Google's latest algorithm update. On May 22nd Google's head of webspam, Matt Cutts, announced the launch of the search giant's latest algorithm update, Penguin 2.0.
Teaching in an environment where the internet and discussion are allowed in exams would be different. The ability to find things out quickly and accurately would become the predominant skill. The ability to discriminate between alternatives, then put facts together to solve problems would be critical. AThat's a skill that future employers would admire immensely.
Wow! Allowing internet access and discussion during exams??? As bizarre as it sounds, I think it's awesome! Instead of teaching our kids to memorize everything, we could teach them to THINK! A good thing indeed.
Just when you got your SEO mojo, out comes Penguin 2.0, trippin' up your flow. Here's what to do about it! ... Post-Penguin 2.0, the message is clear: if you want to rank and drive real traffic, you need to build your online brand. By strong branding, I’m not talking exclusively about giants like CNN and Zappos et al. I mean a strong brand in relation to the other sites in your industry fighting over specific SERP territory. And if you do, you’re much more likely to rank. When you think about branding as a ranking factor, it makes a lot more sense. Google is trying to replicate the logic of the “real world” and apply it to the online world, after all. For instance, if you have a business and you’re trying to build your brand as part of a local marketing blitz, how would you do it? What constitutes a strong brand offline? Well, you might have printed ads in the local magazines and newspapers, or maybe radio and television ads -- you know, the kinds of things that might help create some brand recognition for your target market when they're not at a computer or mobile device....
