Great questions like the ones listed below demonstrate the importance of being connected to oneself and your community:

1. Who has already bought from me?
2. Am I making assumptions based on my personal knowledge and experience? (inner connection is important here)
3. What's my revenue model?
4. How will I find my customers?
5. Is there room to expand my target market?

There's an assumption from marketers that people will accept more and more behavioural tracking to help target marketing activity, but it seems Gen Y isn't that keen.

Frugal Innovation: A New Business Paradigm

Frugal Innovation: A New Business Paradigm | SD ESCP | Scoop.it

Frugal innovation is the ability to generate considerably more business and social value while significantly reducing the use of scarce resources. It’s about solving—and even transcending—the paradox of “doing more with less”. Frugal innovation is a game-changing strategy for an “Age of Austerity” in which firms are being compelled by cost-conscious and eco-aware consumers, employees, and governments to create offerings that are simultaneously affordable, sustainable, and of high quality.

Former à l'innovation, une urgence | SD ESCP | Scoop.it

| SD ESCP | Scoop.it

What One Skill Do All Entrepreneurs Need to Succeed?

What One Skill Do All Entrepreneurs Need to Succeed? | SD ESCP | Scoop.it

Cash will run low, clients won’t close, team members will leave, the product will have bugs, and the roof will fall on your head. There will be times when you seriously consider quitting. I’ve been there. But perseverance and dumbfounded self-confidence pushed me forward. Without perseverance, you’ll never reach success.

Team management: how to build trust

Team management: how to build trust | SD ESCP | Scoop.it

Last week I trained a group of junior managers on coaching their team. One of the topics on the agenda was giving and receiving feedback, another was practicing coach sessions. Even though the example in this article is about junior managers learning about coaching a team and getting feedback, it really is about building trust. In business it is equally important to understand how you build trusting relationships across cultures – chances are some of the people on your team or people you do business with, come from an entirely different cultural background then you.
