The influence of visual content is supported by this statement via #SocialMediaExaminer "Photo posts account for 93% of the most engaging posts on Facebook. They can get 53% more likes, 104% more comments and 84% more click-throughs on links than text-based posts!" Given the popularity of Instagram, Pinerest, Facebook's changes with more emphasis on visuals as well as Twitter's changes to the header etc. all point toward the huge impact of Visual Storytelling. It's an exciting time for storyboards and telling the story of your brand with visuals

The Biggest Problem in Strategy? Mindset

Mindset is of course, useful. It helps us interpret the barrage of new information that bombards us daily. And it works, so long as underlying conditions remain essentially the same. But it often fails us in times of radical change (brought on by external factors such as changing market or economic conditions or new technologies, or internal decisions, such as launching new products or entering new markets). Unfortunately, senior executive decision makers, because of their long years of experience – they "know" the business, the customers, the competitors, the technology and the industry – are resistant to changing their mindsets. So, to the question, the real challenge for strategy professionals becomes how to change decision maker mindsets. .

As relationships between MLSs, aggregators, syndicators, and brokerages shift, pay close attention to what happens after your listings are entered into the MLS. It’s your data, after all.

This is huge. I find with my clients, when I do an initial "audit" to see where they show up in a search that it is nteresting to see which platforms are actually syndicated with your correct photos, your up-to-date info and pics on Zillow and Trulia. I find that Homes and Land Magazine  does a great job for houses with land attached;  Zillow, because it features agents who have bought zip codes, needs to be tweaked a bit to ensure your profile, etc. is correct. Check the photos on your syndicated websites and make sure they are correct and the best representation of the listing. Delete the loser photos. Develop a spreadsheet with the names of all of the platforms your listings are supposed to be synced to and to an action steps, URL, Notes document.

Facebook has everything you need to add the thumbs up, "find us on Facebook," widgets to add to your online and your print collateral.
