Can The Second Screen Save Us From The New Tedium Of Super Bowl Ads? - 02/04/2013
Mattia Nicoletti's insight:

Storytelling (read "creativity") in Super Bowl advertising is the key to engage viewers. People want to smile, to laugh, to cry. They want strong emotions. And second screen needs emotions to have an important role in the story. Coca Cola commercial is maybe the only one this year to have something to tell.

We are full of promotional advertising because a good price is always attractive, but sometimes we look for something different, for a good story, especially when we get fun (read "during Super Bowl").

9 predictions for social TV in 2013
Mattia Nicoletti's insight:

The best social tv predictions around

I agree (and I wrote about it) with second screen becoming first screen, with the need of new storytelling to improve social tv, and with Netflix and Amazon evolution. I found very interesting VRM, but coming to Get Glue + Viggle I don't give many chances to them (numbers are small compared to Twitter and Facebook) if a big player will not acquire them. Maybe we need a real Amazon customized personal tv guide manager to follow and discover tons of contents available. Then I would add YouTube that, potentially (thanks to Google ecosystem), with the new remote control feature can become a extremely big player.
