Amazon.com - iCanvasART The Problem We All Live with Ruby Bridges by Norman Rockwell Canvas Print, 26 by 18-Inch
Chris D's insight:

This picture by Norman Rockwell shows Ruby Bridges walking into her school, surrounded by bodyguards, with racial slurs written on the wall in the background. It emphasizes the racism on Ruby Bridges. Racism is a major theme in "To Kill a Mockingbird". Although it does not affect Scout directly since she is white, it affects the enviroment she grows up in and the Tom Robinson trial.

Chris D's insight:

A hobby I think Scout would enjoy is paintball. I think she would like this hobby because paintball involves shooting and running around, which Scout loves. You also have to wear older, dirtier clothes to play, so no one could criticize her for wearing overalls.

As the story progresses Ponyboy learns that its rough all over. Scout from "To Kill a Mockingbird" also demonstrates the theme of coming of age. In the beginning of the story Scout acts in a childish way and thinks and acts ignorantly. As the story progresses she becomes wiser and grows out of her childish behavior.
