Super-fast Content Curation: Add Scoop.it to HootSuite and Go! | Scoop.it on the Web | Scoop.it

"Did you know you can now integrate two of the best apps to help you find and share content daily?" writes Liz Wilson on Business2Community.com.

I love the way she describes her Scoop.it community: "It’s a place where you find the leading experts. You will learn from them, benefit from their high-level curation, and connect with them. Some of them will become friends. After a bit more than a year, I have an incredible knowledge network of friendly, helpful people in my Scoop.it community."

And also how the Scoop.it App enhances her HootSuite experience: "Until the Scoop.it app came along I hadn’t found a satisfactory way to quickly uncover great content from inside HootSuite. I wanted a quick and easy way to do more of my work from inside Hoot Suite – and this is it."

Building a Community of Curators Sharing “Ideas that Matter”

Building a Community of Curators Sharing “Ideas that Matter” | Scoop.it on the Web | Scoop.it

"One of Scoop.it’s intriguing aspects is being organized around topics as opposed to the people doing the curation. This differentiates the site from Facebook and Twitter, and it also seems to be resulting in a more professional look and feel – more of a LinkedIn in that sense, than a personal network" writes David Weir on 7x7 reviewing Scoop.it and developing on how it differentiates from other publishing platforms.

7x7 also called us "One of our favorite online publishing platforms" on Twitter and we feel grateful and happy: thanks!

"Scoop.it has become my curation platform of preference" - Paul Chaney

"Scoop.it has become my curation platform of preference" - Paul Chaney | Scoop.it on the Web | Scoop.it

Thanks to Paul Chaney for taking the time to write this great review of Scoop.it.

Paul took the time to highlight many of the great features of Scoop.it, like the visual design, the developed community, and the ease of curation via the Scoop.it bookmarklet.

He also mentions a few things that he wished would improve on Scoop.it; but we might already have the answers there! Although post scheduling on Scoop.it is an option in the Business package, it's already easy to do this via Buffer. Posting on Scoop.it isn't always what makes your content known, it's your social sharing that does this. Buffer is free for everyone on Scoop.it and we're proud to say that!

Although there isn't an easy way to sell ad space via Scoop.it, we certainly aren't against it if you'd like to include it in your page background. We even have some awesome users who have started doing this!

And lastly, we might have some news in the works for email newsletter capability. ;-)

We're glad to hear that Paul chose Scoop.it as his preferred curation platform in his content curation review series!

Paul Chaney's comment, October 17, 2012 12:27 AM
I'm fairly bullish about the need to include space for ad units. Also, regarding scheduling of posts, I was referring to scheduling post that appear on Scoop.it itself, not those syndicated out to other social networks. And while I'd love to be able to afford the business version, alas, my budget can't justify it -- not without the ability to recoup my investment via ads.

Insights Into the Hot Trend of Social Media Content Curation

Insights Into the Hot Trend of Social Media Content Curation | Scoop.it on the Web | Scoop.it

In the guest post published by Jeff Bullas' blog, Intervistato.com's Maria Petrescu interviews Scoop.it's co-founder Marc Rougier after giving her own insights on why curation is a much needed trend.

"Online content curation is a hot trend as business owners and professionals realize that content is vital to add value to their customers and prospects. The trend was already evident in 2011 but 2012 saw an outright explosion of the phenomenon. Also important is delivering and sharing that content on your social media networks." she writes.

She comes back with Marc on the background behind Scoop.it: "The founders were literally in love with social media, but had no time to produce content. They had already been working on another platform, where they published content organized in topics. People loved it, but after a while they felt the growing need of getting content that was more specific, based on their single interests."

Plus other interesting insights and a video of the interview. Check it out!

Content Curation your secret weapon - Drive Traffic & Find New Customers

Content Curation your secret weapon - Drive Traffic & Find New Customers | Scoop.it on the Web | Scoop.it
Using Content Curation To Find New Customers.

Being an Internet marketer for many years I’ve seen the landscape change many times but one thing has stayed the same “Content is King”, when it comes to driving traffic to a website.

As a business owner we all want to get new customers to our websites. Many have tried blogging to drive traffic to their website and due to a shortage of hours in a day they end up dropping the blog or hiring ghost writers to develop content for the site. We now have a new player on the net and it comes in the form of Content Curation. No it will not completely eliminate business owners creating content for their website but adds a whole new area of content development for a website.

Over the past two years I’ve tested different content curation sites and tools and have found Scoop.it to be the leader in both innovation and traffic building potential.

Below are examples on how Scoop.it can drive traffic and help to show the world, yes the world that your business knows your market.

In this article are 3 areas that when done correctly can drive new traffic to your business or brand.

Hi gdecugis! Thank you for your ansewer. My problem with Buffer is that I don't see the way you can create/edit the title of the post. When you see published post on Facebook, it's a block of text without title. This is against my undersatnding of content publishing. I will never read a block of text If I don't know what's about... will you?
Guillaume Decugis's comment, September 21, 2012 12:50 PM
But you can change the title of the post on Scoop.it: that's what Buffer will publish on Facebook then. And you can add your own Facebook comment on top like you would for any Facebook post. If you don't, there might be a specific issue with your account that we'd be happy to look at (send us a screenshot via http://feedback.scoop.it). It works fine on our end and behaves just like standard Facebook sharing but let us know if we have to fix something. Thanks!
