Last fall I wrote 10 Search Tools and Tactics Teachers and Students Need to Know. The first thing on that list was to teach students to stop Googling "what" and "why" questions. In other words, teach students to use better search terms. A good resource that can help students understand web search strategies is Common Craft's Web Search Strategies in Plain English.
While its great to see the digitization of textbooks, some users of the iBooks and other e-reader devices & e-books have hinted towards an eye-strain to constantly look at an e-reader as opposed to your traditional textbook at hand...I personally like the book on "Creating Innovators - the making of young people who will change the world - Tony Wagner" - the traditional text with dynamic QR code content...fine balance between traditional print and dynamic content access!
