I would have used "Gathering" instead of Google for the letter G. As much as I do not teach students to exclude Google as a search tool, I insist they use other databases (Nettrekker, Discovery Ed, & other encyclopedias) first.

El artículo expone lo que muchos bibliotecarios ya sabemos sobre la evolución de las bibliotecas a unas de mayor dinamismo e innovación. Fenómenos como la crisis económica, los libros electrónicos, el internet y la globalización han provocado un cambio en la cultura de las bibliotecas. Ya sólo el contar con libros y espacios de silencio satisfacen las necesidades de unas nuevas generaciones de usuarios que quieren trabajan en ambientes de colaboración, de innovación y tecnológicos. Las bibliotecas deben dirigirse a establecer áreas para lecturas en silencio, áreas para conversar, áreas de servicios y enseñanza de las destrezas de información y finalmente áreas de innovación tecnológica. Las áreas de innovación tecnológicas se componen de los llamados "media lab" quienes además de computadoras poseen otros tipos de artefactos como los 3d printer, programados de edición de video y audio, entre otros. En Puerto Rico esta visión aún está lejos de lograrse en muchas de nuestras instituciones, es por ello que en ocasiones se pronostica la muerte de las bibliotecas, es el momento de llevar a los que toman las decisiones sobre esta visión transformadora y participativa de la biblioteca del siglo 21.
