The latest edition of the Pisa test for the first time included digital tests for the maths and reading components. The boys got better results in the digital rather than the analog exams.

A new publication is about to be given by professor emerita Louise Limberg et al. The book is entiteled Skolbiblioteksroller i förändrande landskap = School libraries roles in a changing landskapes. The issues is highly important in Sweden since there is more than 2 years after the law requiered the schools to organize an access to a school library. But how it is defined and how the learning environment with technologies and curricula change the role of the school library. The manuscript is already out in the Internet to be read.

SWEDEN How do the public and school library systems work together? | Scandinavian Library Quarterly

"Based on unwavering support by the municipalities, the Swedish public and school library systems can look back on a long history of fruitful collaboration. The libraries often share premises and cooperate to varying degrees, both with and without formal agreements. Statistics for 2010 indicate that 43 per cent of 1,214 Swedish public libraries were integrated with their counterparts in the schools."
