ALA has developed the following resources to help school librarians convene forums and moderate discussions on privacy (with students, with faculty) in conjunction with Choose Privacy Week, May 1-7, 2012

 

Guide for Moderators

convene a discussion on privacy in your school. This PDF contains the information necessary for moderators of a forum on privacy.

for a discussion on privacy. It provides an overview of the deliberative process and outlines the privacy issues to be considered.

In addition, school librarians attending the ALA Annual Meeting in Anaheim,

CA can learn how to convene forums and moderate community discussions about

privacy at the preconference sponsored by the ALA Center for Civic Life and

the Intellectual Freedom Roundtable. "Who Do I Trust to Protect My Privacy?

A Privacy Conversation Deliberative Forum and Moderator Training" will
take place on Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm in the Anaheim

Convention Center Room 303C. To register, sign in to the ALA Conference
