 George Bernard Shaw on School: “... there is, on the whole, nothing on earth intended for innocent people so horrible as a school.To begin with, it is a prison. But it is in some respects more cruel than a prison. In a prison, for instance, you are not forced to read books written by the warders (who of course would not be warders and governors if they could write readable books), and beaten or otherwise tormented if you cannot remember their utterly unmemorable contents." Dave Logan suggests: "Genius is often so narrow that it passes unidentified through competency screenings that many companies use to find "the right people.

The heart of the problem for geniuses -- people who are 9 or 10 at something -- are that they are probably a 2-3 in other areas."

Sharrock's insight:

I started to the course on Einstein, found this out, but figured I could share various websites with the same information: Einstein often graduated school at the top of his class, but he had some difficulty with math. There is other research to support this as well. Not something many people want to recognize due to various political investments against public school education and our own personal wish that we too could have been a genius later in life.
