Bamboo Smartphone Coming to Kickstarter

Bamboo Smartphone Coming to Kickstarter | scatol8® | Scoop.it

At Droidcon this past Friday, a prototype of the first bamboo smartphone, the ADzero, was revealed. The Android smartphone will be powered by a 1.4 GHz Samsung Exynos 4 quad-core processor, the same one in the popular Samsung Galaxy S III. Basically, this is no low-performance novelty smartphone, but the real deal made with more sustainable materials.

The ADzero will feature a 4.5 inch display, 1 GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The operating system will either be Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or the open-source AD Android Operating System (ADAOS). The latter is what the developers, AD Creative, have used to build the prototype's custom operating system.
