This is one of those frequently asked questions in Geography class that sometimes results in increased confusion. The maker of this video has summed it up nicely.

Tony Aguilar's curator insight, November 8, 2013 2:44 AM

What makes a country a country is if they play by the rules, of other soverin nations on a global scale and follow the rules. Most countries recieve taxes from their citizens, have a military and a recognized as a soverin. Not every body of land is a country but are also properties controlled by other countries. There are countries in the South Pacific. In North, South America, Europe, and Asia, and bevcause of politcal geopgrahpy nations sizes are changing often and new countries are usually created from theis process

'Coodo' Mobile Living: A Modular Structure That Adapts To Its Natural Surroundings

'Coodo' Mobile Living: A Modular Structure That Adapts To Its Natural Surroundings | say it right | Scoop.it

The coodo opens a whole new way into nature, called Mobile Living. Smaller and less costly than a traditional house, the structure consists of less material, requires less land and can be situated in places that normally would not be buildable.

A coodo's fundament consists of a standardized frame construction upon which individual surfaces, colors, appliances, furniture and decoration can be applied. These personal design choices can be changed by the next owner because the coodo is designed as a modular system.

First off, the coodo is smaller than a house and hence cheaper because it consists of less material, needs less land and can be situated in places that normally would not be buildable property.

There are 35 MLS players that came from Africa according to the article. In America soccer or football in Europe is not that popular it is more like our baseball or football then like the soccer over there. (That is their "past time") In America we have a large population that play sports but specifically soccer we do not have that many participants that involve themselves in this , I think part of the reason is that abroad soccer is so important to them and they try to flourish from that sport onto tournments and other MLS players go for the cup. Oppose to America and our excitment about the NFL and MBL.

This course looks at how OODA loops can be applied to soccer. OODA loops is a decision/action model widely used in the military and by police and first responders. It is ideally suited for the complex, adversarial nature of soccer. Applying these basic ideas is the start of getting, and staying, ahead of your opponent. https://coursmos.com/course/ooda-loops-in-soccer?utm_source=seedcnv&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sd&utm_content=17

  • WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

The  key factors are: Learners’ age, back ground knowledge, the purpose of learning, the learners’ circumstances (employed, students, unemployed, etc…)

  • DO YOU HAVE THE COURSE CURRICULUM?

In many cases the course curriculum does exist, for example: National Curriculum, University course modules , In-house corporate training.

  • WHAT EXTERNAL PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS NEED TO BE MET?

All external examination bodies provide an exam guide or syllabus which you have to insure your course will address them.

To Persuade People, Tell Them a Story | say it right | Scoop.it

"Paul Smith had 20 minutes to sell the CEO of Procter & Gamble, and his team of managers, on new market-research techniques for which Mr. Smith's department wanted funding. As associate director of P&G's PG -0.39% market research, Mr. Smith had spent three weeks assembling a concise pitch with more than 30 PowerPoint slides.

On the day of the meeting, CEO A.G. Lafley entered the room, greeted everybody and turned his back to the screen. He then stared intently at Mr. Smith throughout the entire presentation, not once turning to look at a slide.

"I felt like maybe I hadn't done a very good job because he wasn't looking at my slides like everyone else," says Mr. Smith, who also noticed that the other managers didn't seem very engaged. "It didn't occur to me until later that he did that because he was more interested in what I had to say than in what my slides looked like."

At best, your PPT slides can only SUPPORT your message. The more refined or rarified your audiences get, the more refined or rarified your slide deck needs to get. They're 'paying' for your professional advice/opinion, not your PPT ability.

iOS 7 Battery Life Draining Too Fast? It’s Easy to Fix

iOS 7 Battery Life Draining Too Fast? It’s Easy to Fix | say it right | Scoop.it

"Some users are finding that updating to iOS 7 seems to have reduced the battery life of their iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices. Battery issues are often reported with major iOS updates, but this time around the culprits of newfound battery drain are easier to identify, because much of it relates directly to some new features and new control mechanisms built into the new iOS release. Fortunately, this makes for easy identification and easy remedies, so if you’re encountering any issues with battery life not living up to your expectations, you can probably resolve the draining issues quickly with a few settings adjustments."
