I tested vibop and it's a useful tool to make quick enrichments to your videos: It's a pity that the themes are only available for the iphone app and not for the web app integrated in youtube (as expected) .

Regarding intro, editing & effects functionalities, they're both in the iphone and web app.

The 7 Roadblocks to Content Curation | Darwin Ecosystem

The 7 Roadblocks to Content Curation | Darwin Ecosystem | Savvy Tech Topics | Scoop.it

All of us have areas of interest and expertise that we wish to continue developing. We want to know everything that is going on in relation to that topic. More importantly, we want to be sure we are not missing anything important.

What differentiates successful professionals is their ability to take action before competitors so as to mitigate a risk or act upon an opportunity.

This post explores 7 roadblocks that difficult content curation.

1. Shooting Stars:

The widespread adoption of real-time platforms has led to a huge increase of content publication. Identifying strategically important information has become much like spotting a shooting star.

2. Popularity Icebergs:

The massive utilization of popularity to deliver information is making content curation difficult for users with highly personalized information needs. The information that is not considered popular remains under the sea of information and is very hard to find.

3. Assumption Bubbles:

Algorithms are gaining importance to filter Web content and tackle information overload. The resulting bubbles are difficult to escape and limit the discovery of unexpected information.

4. Expert Gatekeepers:

Relying on experts is a good way to obtain relevant information with a reduced level of effort. However, those experts can easily become gatekeepers if they are not able to deliver information that is relevant to the dynamic interests and information needs of each user.

5. Circles of Trust:

It is easy to forget that critical information might come from outside those circles of trust.

6. Bingo Cards:

To build expertise, users are required to know everything that’s going on in relation to a specific topic. Users can feel overloaded because they decide to deal with more content than they can curate.

7. Distraction Mazes...

Conclusion:

Finding timely and relevant information on an ongoing basis about a specific subject is very challenging. Most users are finding it extremely difficult not to be distracted by information that is not relevant to their information needs.

37 Ways to Use Social Media to Market Your Website

37 Ways to Use Social Media to Market Your Website | Savvy Tech Topics | Scoop.it

The key to every site’s success is through good marketing and promotion. Even if you have really good and substantial content on your site, you still need to promote it to avoid getting left behind the competition. In the internet community, the best way to achieve an increase in website traffic and revenue is to take advantage of social media. When used correctly, this tool can provide a platform for brand awareness, exposure, networking, and a huge boost in traffic & sales.

Since there are so many different definitions of social media, let’s clarify what we’re talking about here. Social media are primarily Internet- and mobile-based tools for sharing and discussing information. The term most often refers to activities that integrate technology, telecommunications and social interaction, and the construction of words, pictures, videos and audio. This interaction, and the manner in which information is presented, depends on the varied perspectives and "building" of shared meaning among communities, as people share their stories and experiences.

Curation is taking over the digital content scene. With related applications and platforms multiplying, the act of collecting and sharing content has become second nature for most of us.

Without The Right Message, Twitter Is No Better For Your Brand Than A Fax Machine

Without The Right Message, Twitter Is No Better For Your Brand Than A Fax Machine | Savvy Tech Topics | Scoop.it

A great lesson in humility... I think this article touches the major problem of social media, too much blah blah and personal promotion and not enough real useful information for all. It's to each of us to finding the right ratio between the two... I have an idea about that, and you? [note mg]

Why brands have this endless fascination with social media is one of the more fascinating phenomena in business today--especially since many are missing the one key ingredient that, if ignored, will turn their most choreographed efforts into social media hell.

When it comes to branding and the ever-changing social media phenomenon, you’re not a mushroom. In other words, you shouldn’t be kept in the dark and fed a pile of...well, you get the idea.

Every once in while, a certain business mania surfaces. As you saw in the video above, history is filled with these blips: The telephone. Radio. TV. The fax machine. The Internet. And now social media. Within social media, it splinters further--it seems like there’s always a shiny new network. Before Pinterest, there was Google Plus. Before Google Plus, well, you know the drill. And on and on.
