"BRIC" an acronym symbolizing an emerging paradigm change and a shift in global economic power arrived in 2001. Jim O'Neill, of Goldman Sachs coined it for a paper "Building Better Global Economic BRIC." Today we are in the Era of BRICS-Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. Understanding their growing economic clout, BRICS countries have been meeting annually for 6 years now to harness synergies. Whether it is trade, agriculture, security, tourism, academics, think-tanks, youth forums and festivals, the case for deepening and strengthening relations within BRICS is clear.
