The biggest thing since the home computer: Printing in 3-D

Mentions more positives uses for 3D printing as well as a negative side of the technology: the possibility to freely distribute weapons. While this won't be the reason that people will rush to buy a 3D printer, it is still somewhat concerning.

Cassandra Torino's curator insight, March 23, 2014 8:30 AM

In this article, Jacklyn Wagner, talks about 3D printing and its possible implications in the future. Also, Jacklyn explains the many benefits society will receive in the future when the 3D printers become more advanced and affordable.

This article is useful to my research as it suggest the possibility of 3D printers becoming a very important technology in the future. Although the article mentions 3D printing's possible legal issues, its still an innovative piece of technology that could help many people in need. As mentioned in the article, 3D printing could possibly produce medical supplies, prosthetic limbs and other important items to developing areas.

The only limitation within the information given in this article is that it does not give predicted dates in which we could see this technology become recognized as one of the most important technology on the planet. Though, despite this limitation, the article is a good source of information and would serve as a great reference within my essay.

Infographics Are More Viral Then Presentations

Infographics Are More Viral Then Presentations | Sales & Marketing & Advertising | Scoop.it

The data’s in: Infographics have more virality than presentations and documents!

When we launched our new infographics player in July, it was because we had little  doubt the web was becoming more and more  visual — and  infographics were seemingly becoming the future of data-sharing. Being the data-driven organization that we are, we were interested in testing the popularity of this new content type.
